Restaurant & Café — table-first POS

Visual table map, KDS routing, modifiers, split bills, and dine-in / bar / takeaway modes from the dCore master requirements — built around how restaurants actually run service.

What restaurant teams get

  • Visual floor plan

Drag-and-drop table map with state colours, merge/transfer, seat assignment, and multi-section floors (Main, Patio, VIP).

  • KDS routing

Send courses to the right kitchen station automatically (e.g., Drinks → Bar KDS). Manager view shows live ticket age and SLA timers.

  • Drag-and-drop split bills

Split between checks by line item, support proforma / pre-bill prints, and prompt for tips on close-out.

  • Modifiers & courses

Additive and override modifiers ("Extra Cheese +MVR 15"), course routing, fire-when-ready logic.

  • Bar, dine-in, takeaway

Same surface handles dine-in, bar (tab + close), and takeaway — no mode-switch lag during a rush.

  • Tip pools

Digital gratuities calculated and split across staff hours worked. Audit-logged adjustments allowed.

A service shift, end-to-end

From seat to tip-out — the dCore restaurant flow.
  1. 01

    Seat and start a tab

Tap a table on the floor plan. dCore assigns the order to that table and its server. Bar and takeaway open a tab without a table.

  2. 02

    Fire to the kitchen

Items route to the right KDS by category. Bar tickets to the bar, kitchen tickets to the kitchen — both with SLA timers.

  3. 03

    Split, tip, close

Drag-and-drop split between checks, proforma prints, tip prompts. Voids after kitchen-print require Manager PIN and a reason.

Built for omnichannel restaurants

  • QR table ordering with live KDS transmission status
  • Web orders board (New → Preparing → Ready → Out)
  • Pick-and-pack scan checklist for delivery prep
  • Inventory Conflicts board — Physical POS Wins rule
  • Channel pricing (web vs delivery vs in-store)
  • Recipes mapped to raw ingredients with MAC costing

Happy Hour: time-of-day rules mapped to categories (e.g., 5 PM–7 PM, Category: Beer) — applied automatically at the counter, never by manual override.

Recipes, ingredients, wastage

dCore tracks raw ingredients (flour, meat) separately from menu items, calculates base cost from Moving Average Cost, and lets you log wastage so margins reflect reality.
